I will not lose another person I love. I will not let history repeat itself.

Vincent waited lifetimes to find me, but in an instant our future together was shattered. He was betrayed by someone we both called a friend, and I lost him. Now our enemy is determined to rule over France s immortals, and willing to wage a war to get what they want.

It shouldn t be possible, none of it should be, but this is my reality. I know Vincent is somewhere out there, I know he s not completely gone, and I will do anything to save him.

After what we ve already fought to achieve, a life without Vincent is unimaginable. He once swore to avoid dying - to go against his nature and forsake sacrificing himself for others - so that we could be together. How can I not risk everything to bring my love back to me?

What have I been doing lately?

Howdy!

So I've been quiet for a while, only posting book reviews when I finally get to finish a book! So, here's a quick update on what's happening!

  • I'm in my final few weeks of (my first year of) University and I'm working on the hardest bunch of assignments I've had so far!
  • My dad has been (and will continue to be) ill and that has shook up my life completely making a lot of things hard for me to do - sadly, reading is one of them.
  • I've been spending more time with friends and Andy - which again means less reading!
  • I've been getting more headaches again (sad face!) which means I can't sit down and read a book in one sitting like I like to do, I now have to put it down after a chapter or so! At least until I feel better again!
So they're my excuses for the lack of posts on the blog! But here is what I'm reading and planning on reading... (not in this order!)

  • Watch by Robert J Sawyer (currently reading, slowly!)
  • Untimed by Andy Gavin (for review)
  • Clockwork Princess by Cassandra Clare
  • Fever (FINALLY!) by Lauren DeStefano
  • City of Bones by Cassandra Clare
  • Hidden by P.C and Kristin Cast
  • Hunger by Michael Grant
  • If I Should Die by Amy Plum (so excited!) (for review)
  • The Trouble with Fate by Leigh Evans (for review)
  • Rage Within by Jena Roberts (for review)
I have plenty other books on my to be read list, but I'm trying to only focus on the ones that I really have to read first! Which for me, is the ones above.

I'm fighting through all my issues in order to get my work done at University, but hopefully I'll be able to convince myself to take proper breaks and therefore get to read more! I'm not reading Alice in Zombieland at the moment purely because I left the book at home when I went home to visit my dad! Oh well ):

So, until next time, heres to hoping I get more meme's and book reviews in soon!

Synopsis: Goodreads:

Zoey is finally home where she belongs, safe with her Guardian Warrior, Stark, by her side, and preparing to face off against Neferet - which would be a whole lot easier if the High Counsel saw the ex-High Priestess for what she really is. Kalona has released his hold on Rephaim, and, through Nyx's gift of a human form, Rephaim and Stevie Rae are finally able to be together - if he can truly walk the path of the Goddess and stay free of his father's shadow...

But there are new forces at work at the House of Night. An influx of humans, including Lenobia's handsome horse whisperer, threatens their precarious stability. And then there's the mysterious Aurox, a jaw-droppingly gorgeous teen boy who is actually more - or possibly less - than human. Only Neferet knows he was created to be her greatest weapon. But Zoey can sense the part of his soul that remains human, the compassion that wars with his Dark calling. And there's something strangely familiar about him...

Will Neferet's true nature be revealed before she succeeds in silencing them all? And will Zoey be able to touch Aurox's humanity in time to protect him - and everyone - from his own fate?
